Purification Church is located in Kuzomen village of Tersky district. The first Church has been raised here in 1782, and it was consecrated in the name of great Martyr Dmitry. The settlement expanded fast. In 1896 there were almost 500 people. Orthodox parish came here in 1861. At that time it consisted of 4 temples: Dmirtievskaya four altar Church, Sretenskaya single altar Church, which was built in 1863, the Church of the Holy virgin and St. Demetrius Church. None of them survived the Soviet time. The modern Purification Church building began in 2011. The Church is a wooden building crowned by a dome with a six-pointed wooden cross. In June 2012 the construction has been almost completed and the Church was ready to open the doors to parishioners.
